There are several foods that increase metabolism and help accelerate any quick weight loss program. Foods that increase metabolism include foods that are high in complex carbohydrates and proteins. Complex carbohydrates are found in whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and legumes. Fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, and hormone free meats are all metabolism boosting. As much as possible, try to give fresh fruits and whole grain bread to children. Ask them to choose fruits they like when you are buying fruits and vegetables at the supermarket. Try to steer children for healthy eating by giving them variety of fruits so that they could change their taste.

When you choose grains, vegetables, and fruits, you are choosing foods packed with plenty of vitamins and minerals, complex carbohydrates and dietary fiber. Whole grains and fiber rich fruits and vegetables help you to digest your food.
A reasonable approach for losing weight naturally is to stick to a diet that is high in complex carbohydrates,high in fiber, moderate in protein other then from an animal,and low in fat. I always aim for eating six to eleven servings of low-fat whole grains and at least three calcium-rich foods such as nonfat milk or nonfat yogurt.
Increasing your metabolism is the best way to quickly loose a few pounds while maintaining a balanced diet. This is possible through an exercise program and a healthy diet.
