7. Lentils… wow, these things are incredible for the price. A 1 pound bag contains 143 grams of fiber, 130 grams of protein… and only costs 72 cents at Wal-Mart. You can’t beat that penny for penny. The only drawback is that it takes over 30 minutes to cook.
8. Oatmeal… the rolled oats kind… not instant oatmeal. This is about the only high carbohydrate food I eat. I like to put cinnamon on it for taste.
9. Tuna… for about 60 cents a can, it has 33 grams of protein in each water-packed can. I like to mix it into salads and with black beans.
10. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil… the healthy fats in this cause a lot of my clients to lose a lot of weight fast! Take 1 tablespoon twice a day.
